Perched on the matrix are several tabular, doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent, sky blue alkali-rich beryl crystals, to 1.5 cm across. The matrix is coated with an unusual blue-ish powdery coating, possibly alkali rich as well. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls.
