This is a significant specimen, as is any piece of the rare mineral Keyite. The piece here is a rich mixture of blue/teal microcrystals of Keyite set amidst Cuprian Adamite. Keyite, as you can imagine, is quite rare, and only known to occur here at the Type Locality and one other locality. I have seen only a handful in my life, and Charlie Key tells me there just aren't more than a handful he knows of that came out. Mostly, I admit I ignore micros by and large - but some have a special romance and importance that makes them stand out. Keyite under a scope is gorgeous, and the mineral is interesting. Pieces are few and far between.
