Excellent specimen with sharp and gemmy Phosgenite crystals, set in a protected pocket within Galena matrix, from the well-known Monte Poni Mine in Sardinia, Italy. A classic occurrence, these Phosgenites are a bit more translucent than usual, with the crystals having excellent striations and good luster. The longest of the Phosgenites is 3 cm. Originally from the collection of the famous mineralogist, Victor Goldschmidt, and with his own label (I have only ever seen a very few such labels!) .
