From the famous and outstanding late 1960's find near Ruidoso, New Mexico, by the late Dick Jones, this is a rare treasure - we seldom see them turn up again on the market! This smoky, Japan Law-twinned quartz represents the finest American occurrence of both "open" and "closed" twins from one pocket which he collected now about 45 years ago. This particularly sharp "closed twin" crystal is flattened, glassy and gemmy, with a clearly visible, vertical twinning plane and a superb, light smoky color. It is a large thumbnail or small miniature in size class. Found summer of 2013.
