Cuprian Smithsonite
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia
Miniature, 4.9 x 2.8 x 2.4 cm
SOLD
Lustrous, very aesthetic apple-green Cuprian Smithsonite crystals richly cover the matrix on this striking Tsumeb specimen. The color of Cuprian Smithsonite makes it one of the most desirable and uncommon Smithsonite varieties from this famous and now-closed mine. These complex, intergrown crystals have faces about 5 mm across, and the luster is very good. It looks like a matrix covered by candy green apple slices. A very good miniature.
