This specimen at first glance looks like it should be valued at double or triple, and indeed maybe I am pricing it down too much for the few small bits of damage present. Only on close inspection, can you see a few minor bits of edge wear on some crystals. Nevertheless, in the center, it features a stunningly lustrous, doubly-terminated and deeply colored crystal of dioptase measuring a full 2 cm, tip to tip! The luster, the showiness, the sheer color intensity of the piece scream value, and it perhaps is worth more, but I got it in a deal from an old german collection and can pass it on. Dioptase of this quality and with crystals of this size, generally, is never inexpensive. These stopped coming out by the mid 1980s.
