From the 1982-3 finds at this little hill, comes all the major pink topaz I know of. This is a huge crystal, unusual in size for the find, and it has also a really neat color grading from clear at the bottom through a champagne-colored middle to a distinct pink-lavender color atop. The termination is full and complete, sharp and gemmy; though there are a few minor bits of wear on the right edge and a vertical stripe of damage running up the backside (this is totally invisible from the front or sides, anyhow). Exchanged recently from Gene to Bill and then on to me, this is actually (by coincidence of how these things go around, amortised) the same price Gene paid for it a decade ago (as the label notes).
