Cuprian Calcite

This lustrous, translucent, olive green, calcite is composed of interlocking rhombohedrons. The rhombs have formed a rosette which sits on top like a knob. This rosette measures 2.5 cm across. The viewing side of the specimen is undamaged. This is the most lustrous, most aesthetic example I have had of this material which came out around 1999-2000 labeled as green smithsonite. I have never seen any more, since that time.
