Pyrargyrite
Freiberg, Saxony, Germany
Miniature, 4.5 x 3.4 x 2.9 cm
Ex. Richard Hauck
SOLD
This specimen of brilliantly lustrous pyrargyrite is composed of many, equant, splendent, black, crystals, to .6 cm across forming larger 3-dimensional clusters. Since this is an old piece, it has lost any red internal highlights except under a flashlight held close. However, it is extremely aesthetic and REALLY unusually lustrous, plus at a very cheap price compared to what I saw selling over at the Munich show for anything comparablly antique and good...and those usually with a lot more damage. This is a rarely displayable old german pyrarg that could fit in any collection!
