ex. Charlie Key
This is an unusual matrix group from Brandberg, the rarer of the two Namibian locations. The crystal on the left side has a remarkable intense purpley-raspberry color surrounded by more normal amethyst. Beautiful!

We call this specimen the "rocketship" as you have a stark , grape-juice colored single amethyst (doubly-terminated ), shooting up like a rocket from a cloud of quartz sceptres below. It looks good the other way, too! I find this piece one of the most amazing and fun to look at in the entire collection, though its far from the most expensive by any stretch. Pristine save one teeny ding and a contact in back.

A superb, doubly-terminated milky quartz crystal with a rich, raspberry amethyst center. Some surface chattering, and a contact (small gap where a missing crystal attached) and a ding on opposite ends, but overall still a magnificent specimen in terms of sheer eye appeal.

It is very difficult to find matrix groups from the Gobobos. Here we have a nice cluster of two zoned quartz/smoky quartz/amethyst crystals perched nicely, just sitting on a hematite-included quartz matrix. A lovely 360-degree specimen with much more 3-dimensionality than most can have. Amazingly, it is pristine! This is a major matrix piece for the finds here!.

Anunusually elongated, very large, dark purple crystal from the Gobobos. If this crystal was gemmier, it would be a $10,000 specimen. it is still a wonderful example, quite translucent and colorful when backlit, if not transparent. The size is remarkable, for the condition (pristine, save for some ingrown matrix attachments on the backside). Major amethyst from here, without breaking the bank.

Very interesting scepter with light amethyst head and three penetrating crystals attached to the bottom of the sceptre portion above the stalk. Very complex scepters like this are unusual. Again, complete all around and pristine!
ex. Charlie Key
An impressive crystal from Gobobos with bright internal amethyst phantoms amidst a sea of general amethyst coloration within a clear quartz rind. Its very complex, actually, in person. The color is deep, but bright. Interesting secondary growths of quartz of only 0.2mm high, dot some places on the surface, adding texture. The dark grape purple hue makes this crystal stand above most others for color, as well.

This is a lovely reverse-scepter spray on matrix. The crystals are to 1 inch, small perhaps, but so elegant!
ex. Charlie Key
An unusual cluster of amethyst crystals with somky highlights at edges, all doubly-terminated in a starburst array. HAND-SIZED, large specimen ! Very esthetic as I think the pics indicate quite clearly!
ex. Charlie Key
This a small, but choice, doubly-terminated amethystine/smoky quartz crystal. The picture says everything.
ex. Charlie Key
Very unusual quartz crystal! This is a floater, terminated ALL around and on all points doubly-terminated. It has what looks like a smoky herkimer-diamond-styled quartz crystal perched smartly on one end . Truly unique amongst this crowd!
ex. Charlie Key
Considering how hard it is to get a matrix specimen out of this locality, this is a wonderful example! The sharp 8cm-long crystal is of quartz with amethyst phantom. It is super glassy, totally pristine, and gorgeous!
ex. Charlie Key
Another fine example of a matrix quartz from the Gobobos, this specimen with a lovely smoky tip and a light amethyst center, all highlighted by hematite speckles.
ex. Charlie Key
Here is an unusual assemblage from the Gobobos, like none I have seen. The main amethyst crystal is surrounded by "wavy" growths of chalcedony. There are two clear quartz crystals, each with subtle hematite inclusions, attached to this crystal as well. The whole unlikely mass is a floater.

This great miniature of what is called "reverse scepter" is a must for any quartz collection. This piece is very unusual for the extreme elongattion of the reverse sceptre, and teh fact that the piece has survived, on matrix no less, from the Gobobos
