Aesthetically perched on a matrix of spherical, ivory-colored calcite, are two spinel twins of lustrous and translucent, pastel-green fluorite to 4 cm in length. The spinel twins are sharp and freestanding, very dramatic. In person they have a faint green color to them. The calcite fluoresces dark tan and the fluorite a rich purple. A very fine combo specimen!

This is a cluster of unusually prismatic, doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent crystals of calcite to 3.5 cm in length, intergrown into a radial spray. The crystals fluoresce a bright, vivid orange (due to manganese inclusions). Neat and unusual for the locale

On a sulfide matrix are perched glassy and gemmy, pastel-green fluorite crystals to 2 cm across. Associated with the fluorite is a druse of white calcite. The calcite fluoresces a vivid orange and the fluorite a rich purple.

Glassy and gemmy cubes of pastel-green fluorite, to 2 cm across are wreathed by a druse of sparkling, white calcite. Rising from the back of the specimen is a lustrous and translucent white calcite crystal, measuring 2 cm in length. The calcite fluoresces a vivid, bright orange and the fluorite, a rich, deep purple. Gorgeous, and really elegant, this is a miniature of rare quality even from this mine which once produced specimens by the thousands

This matrix calcite specimen exhibits the classic "poker chip" habit for which this locality is justly famous. Tabular and rounded, lustrous and translucent, milky white crystals of calcite to 5 5 cm across exhibit parallel growth. Very minor contact at the terminal edges of a small crystal and a large crystal are insignificant as the piece is otherwise complete all around, and very aesthetic for the size

HECK-056 - Celestine - AUS$ 408

Small crystals of celestine are the matrix for a doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent, colorless, celestine crystal - NEARLY 5 cm across. This is a large crystal, and incredibly well-displayed for the locale where the species is actually quite rare. In fact, I have not seen the like, from Naica. This kind of thign fits very well with Dick Heck's goal of trying to get the diversity of Mexico in his collection without sacrificing an aesthetic sense

This specimen features lustrous and translucent, tan colored crystals. One is a twinned , sharp crystal of 3.5 cm in length, right in front, of unusual habit.

A cluster of long prismatic , lustrous crystals of quartz, to 5 cm in length, have been heavily included by chlorite, thus rendering the crystals a deep olive-green color. The back side of the specimen is covered by lustrous , white, calcite crystals, to 1 cm across. Great color contrast, and as a bonus the calcite fluoresces a purple orange.

A large , lustrous and translucent, light pink, 9 cm-long danburite crystal is nearly covered by scalenohedrons of lustrous and translucent, yyellow-amber-colored calcite crystals to 2.6 cm in length. There are even a few crystals of glassy and gemmy gypsum to 1.5 cm across. The calcite crystals fluoresce a rich orangey purple color. Overall, a very unusual and dramatic combination piece!

On a contrasting matrix are tabular, glassy and gemmy, colorless gypsum crystals to 4 cm in length. Most of the gypsum crystals are also doubly terminated. A superb piece, with balance and poise unusual for this material

Perched high on an ocherous limonite, are three JEWEL-like crystals of glassy and gemmy, colorless calcite. The largest calcite crystal measures 2.5 cm across. There is also a thin druse of sparkling calcite crystals which enhance the specimen's beauty. Overall, just a gorgeous specimen - NOT a common calcite!

Emplaced on massive sulfides are splendent, brassy yellow crystals of chalcopyrite to 2 cm in length along with drusy clusters of lustrous, white quartz. Additionally, there are a few crystals, to 1 cm across, of lustrous, battleship gray, galena. VERY bright and shrp, this is a beautiful specimen.

Aesthetically perched on a manganese or iron oxide are a few glassy and gemmy , colorless to tan, quartz crystals, to 4.5 cm in length. The largest crystal is also doubly terminated. The contrast of form and color between the quartz crystals and the black matrix is superb.

Lustrous, brassy yellow, SHARP crystals of chalcopyrite clearly exhibiting a superb twinning (inverted V's) highlight this super miniature. The crystallization of the twins has merged to form a large composite crystal measuring 2.75 cm across.
