KLEINITE from Nevada

KLEINITE is a very rare mercury halide, and large specimens from this classic locality have historically been rare on the market. We purchased, last fall, a surprise stash of specimens collected in the early 1980s when this site was accessible. Many pieces here are quite large and rich, for the species.

An elongated matrix that is of high quality for the crystals and for the coverage, actually quite attrctive as a display specimen. It is rich with a vein of crystals running across the front. Many sharp, discrete crystals to 1mm are present, in superb quality.
