A remarkable large matrix plate featuring classic German yellow fluorites to just about 1 cm. This specimen is not to be confused with similar yellow fluorites from Freriberga totally different region. Note the gradation to purple color around the perimeter, contrasting the yellow nicely!

A very rare, large specimen of Rusian creedite! This piece has radial crystals to 1.4 cm in size, spraying out from all sides. It is extremely large - few of this size seem to have come to market - and the display aesthetics are very good. It does have some minimal damage, in the form of a few broken points here and there. The price is lower than it might be, accordingly: though in context of size this is trivial; and the display views are not really affected. It is a beautiful specimen of a very rare species from Russia, large, and at a bargain price to my mind.

A very rare specimen! Rich azurite of any quality is incredibly hard to obtain, for some reason, from any Cornish locale. A small trim from the MF05 , perfect for anybody who needs one for a locality suite!

For the species, you will be hard-pressed to find Witherite with such fine form and luster in any size. As a thumbnail specimen in particular its amazing for hte large crystal on balanced matrix, that still (barely) fits in teh TN box. The matrix on the back actually adds strength and protection to the crystal, and there is only the most minor bruising. A terrific specimen. Barely squeezes into TN box diagonal...

Awesome large crystals to 1.5 cm across, of gemmy, lustrous lazulite, in royal blue and emerald green colors, totally covering a light, chocolate brown matrix. So impressive are the crystals, that they leap out in a way rare for specimens of this species. Some of the smaller crystals exhibit more green hues mixed in with the blue color. The display face is pristine and minor peripheral contact is insignificant. This is a beautiful example from this major new find!

This amazing piece features a 3 cm augelite crystal which has gotta be a record-holder or near to it, for the locality. It has a pleasing pastel green color, with orangey core. The crystal is nicely displayed front and center on well-trimmed matrix covered with sparkling deep blue lazulite crystals (better in person)! The augelite is doubly-terminated, 3-dimensional, and complete except for a slight contact on the left edge that is, in context, trivial. For the sheer size and the display aesthetics, I think this is a major specimen for both species and locality!

Fluorite (botryoidal) - Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India

This is without doubt one of the largest botryoidal fluorites I have seen from India. The color is a light lemony yellow with reasonable luster, and is accented nicely by the colorless drusy quartz matrix. All in all, this is an extremely showy piece. The size of the botryoidal growth is shocking! Because of this, i consider the specimen fairly significant even by worldwide standards - not something i can normally say with a straight face about an Indian fluorite

Rheniite is the only known mineral with Rhenium as its primary metallic constituent and as such is a fascinating species. It occurs at a volcanic vent in this remote area of Russia, and scientists have to climb down into hot crevasses to find the stuff. That being said, it is usually pretty ugly and massive material in terms of specimen appeal on the macro level. THIS piece, brought to my attention by my friend Dmitriy Belakovskiy of the Fersman Museum, has rheniite draped liberally on one side of the specimen and actual hardened rock made from the bubbly lava on the other! This shows the origins of the material so well, compared to most rather chunky specimens. Even aside from the lava, it is a really rich specimen with LOTS of bright microcrystalline rheniite.

This is a remarkable old specimen , pristine despite being at least 120 years old and probably more ancient than that. I am told by the German collector i exchanged it with that it is from an old museum collection broken up and dispersed 30-40 years ago. The piece is doubly-terminated, and complete all around - a floater! I have never seen for sale on old German acanthite with all these qualities to it, and it is aesthetic as well. This piece has a natural, fairly lustrous patina to it, and thankfully was never cleaned in acid!

This superb miniature is from a rare, small find of about 6 years back. It features mint-green grossular garnets ON tanzanite matrix! The garnets are good in and of themselves, and of quite high quality for the location. The combination, though, is just unique so far as i know.

A sharp miniature featuring a 3.5 x 1 x 1 cm crystal at one end that is super-lustrous and as glassy as these can possibly get, dominating the view as it rises above a cityscape of smaller crystals. The large crystal is pristine, and there are just a few trivial breaks (perhaps natural), on the smaller crystals. It is 3-dimensional and displays nicely, therefore, on both sides, all around. The termination is absolutely superb, as if it was faceted, and among the best I have seen on such a crystal.

This is a miniature sized specimen rich with perhaps a dozen sub-mm crystals , eye visible, scattered all over it. On one side are two larger crystals which are just over 1 mm (perhaps 1.5 mm), bright and sharp, and possibly twinned. VERY NICE reference specimen with eye-visible crystals!
